Weapons and Armour
With SkyRe installed there will lots of new weapons added to the game as the mod focuses on adding more variety which the vanilla game was lacking.
These new types of weapons are BattleStaffs, Halberds, LongMaces, Glaives, Bastard Swords, Nodochis and Yaris, the new light weapons are Longswords, shortswords, Katanas, Tantos, Wakizashis, Shortspears and Clubs. Bows have been split into two types, Shortbows and LongBows.
The damage values of weapons is largely increased so that unblocked strikes will deal massive damage to enemies and even the player swinging melee weapons or aiming with Bows will now use up stamina, this is due to SkyRe forcing the player to come up with tactics as in the vanilla game stamina was not used up with regular attacks or aiming which meant that players could just perform a constant amount of regular attacks. So players will have come up with effective ways of using their stamina as the makes it that the lower the stamina of players and enemies, the less damage they will deal so having a low amount of stamina can end up putting players in a dangerous situation.
So in combat players will have to block as much attacks as possible specially as two-handed weapons could cause instant death.

The mod also increases the protective rating of armour as well but not as much as the weapons, light armour is a little more protective than the vanilla game but the protection of heavy armour has been increased a lot more as the vanilla game didn't do a good job at making much difference in protect with both types.
Due to weapons being much more deadly, the mod raises the effective armour rating cap from 567 to 900, which will enable a maximum of 90% damage reduction. |
